Single use plastic ban comes into effect from June 1, Dh200 fine imposed for violation – GulfHindi

On Saturday, Dubai Municipality issued an update saying that from June 1, all single-use plastic bags have been banned. This rule has been implemented from June 1, i.e. today. Anyone who violates this rule will be fined Dh200.

Let us tell you that the municipality has appealed to all the citizens that they should use reusable cloth bags so that the environment can be saved from the harm caused by plastic. For a healthy lifestyle, it is very important that we use plastic as little as possible.

What kind of bags are banned?

A ban on the use of single-use bags was announced in January 2024, and then all bags smaller than 57 micrometers were to be banned from June 2024.
