Rules will change from July 1, influencers and companies will not be allowed to work without a license – GulfHindi

New advertising service guidelines
In the United Arab Emirates, a new rule will come into effect from July 1 regarding advertising services between social media influencers and establishments. According to the information given by Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), if any person is providing these services without a license, then strict action will be taken against him.
How can I get a license?
Let us tell you that to obtain the license, one has to go to the ‘Department of Economic Development Services’ of the Tamm platform. After that, the activity has to be selected. This license fee for influencers will be Dh1,250 and for companies, this license fee will be Dh5,000.
Foreigners can also obtain a license from outside the country with the help of Emirates ID card or unified number. It is mandatory to obtain a license even if there is a permit from the National Media Council. According to the Department of Economic Development, action can be taken against the accused in case of violation of rules. Fines ranging from Dh3,000 to Dh10,000 will be imposed.
