Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the victims of Hathras incident. He has requested to increase the compensation amount given to the families of the victims of the incident and give it as soon as possible. Rahul Gandhi has also shared this letter on social media.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has highlighted the stampede incident in Hathras in his letter. He has also mentioned in this letter that he met the families of the victims, felt their grief and sought their solution after knowing their problems. He has apprised UP CM Yogi Adityanath of the reality of the Hathras incident through a letter and has urged to provide relief to the bereaved families as soon as possible by increasing the compensation amount. Rahul Gandhi has demanded from CM Yogi to increase the compensation amount given to the victim’s family. He has written in his letter that the compensation announced by the Uttar Pradesh government is very inadequate. I urge that the compensation amount be increased and it be given as soon as possible. Along with this, the injured should be given proper treatment and they should also be given proper compensation. In this letter, Rahul Gandhi further writes that he has met the victim families of the Hathras accident. The accident is so sad that I fell short of words of consolation while meeting the family members.
In the letter, he further writes that the victim families also shared with me that the negligence and insensitivity of the local administration was responsible for this entire accident. Along with this, Rahul Gandhi has also demanded strict punishment for the culprits. He has also talked about proper and transparent investigation of the case and taking the right steps to prevent such accidents in future. He has written that by doing this, the faith of the victim families in the justice system will also be restored. In the end, Rahul Gandhi writes that all the workers of the Congress party and he himself are available for every possible cooperation in this matter. Thus, while performing the duty of a responsible leader, Rahul Gandhi has not only understood the pain of the victims, but he has also talked about getting them justice.
