Rahul Gandhi announced: Congress will build houses for the victims in Wayanad

Wayanad. There were four incidents of landslides in Wayanad, Kerala between 2 am and 4 am on the night of 29-30 July. Four villages were washed away. On the fourth day of the accident, the army rescued four people alive. Among them are two women and a man. All four belong to the same family. They were trapped in Padavetti Kunnu. The death toll in the accident has so far reached 318. 130 people are in the hospital, while 206 people are still missing even four days after the accident. The army is now trying to find people according to the last location of the mobile. Rahul Gandhi, who reached Wayanad, said that the Congress will build houses for the victims here.

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi reached Wayanad on August 1. Both of them talked to the affected people. They also visited the mortuary of a hospital and community health centre in Choorlamala and Meppadi. ​​On Friday, Rahul Gandhi met party leaders and a delegation of Meppadi Gram Panchayat regarding relief work. Rahul Gandhi has said that he will raise the issue of Wayanad landslide in Delhi. He also said that the Congress party will build more than 100 houses here. Kerala has not seen such a tragedy in a single area. Rahul said that it is sad to see how many people have lost their families and homes. Today I feel the same as I did at the time of my father’s death. Rahul won the Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad and Rae Bareli. He left the Wayanad seat. Now Priyanka is going to contest from Wayanad.
