Jalaun. A person died due to brutal beating in the custody of UP Police. This allegation has been made by the relatives of the deceased against UP’s Jalaun Police.
The family members say that there are marks of beating on the body of the deceased. However, this has not been confirmed in the post-mortem. The matter is getting serious. SP-Congress have raised questions on the working style of the police through their social media accounts.
Officials say that an investigation team has been formed in this case and the policemen involved in this case have been suspended. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has also reacted to this matter. Actually, a young man was murdered in Dakor Kotwali area of Jalaun yesterday, in which the police registered a case on the complaint of the deceased’s wife and started investigation. The names of five people came to light in this murder case. Rajkumar’s name was also included in this. Police said that when Rajkumar was being brought after arrest, his health deteriorated and he fainted. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
The SP took cognizance of the matter and sent the body of the deceased Rajkumar for postmortem. The team of doctors conducted the postmortem and found no internal or external injuries. The postmortem was also videographed. However, the family members of the deceased accused the police of murder and said that Rajkumar died due to third degree torture.
