Devprakash Madhukar, who was arrested in the case of stampede after a satsang in Hathras, has been exposed to have deep connections with many political parties. Madhukar was in contact with many big leaders. After questioning Madhukar, the agencies have come to know that he used to collect funds for organizing satsangs. Not only this, the responsibility of all the big events was also in the hands of Madhukar. The members of the committee are said to be in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar and Chhattisgarh.
It is being told that when people died in the stampede after the satsang, Madhukar had informed Baba about it. Madhukar is a resident of Etah, but at present he is living in Mohalla Damdpura New Colony of Sikandrarao. It was here that he joined Bhole Baba’s Manav Mangal Milan Sadbhavana Samagam Samiti 10 years ago. In a short time, Madhukar was given the status of chief sevadar and he started being counted among Bhole Baba’s favorite disciples. It is said that usually Bhole Baba does not talk to anyone on the phone, but he used to talk to Madhukar on the phone. Mudhkar was also given the responsibility of organizing satsang in Hathras. Mudhkar had taken permission for satsang from SDM Sikandrarao. This satsang was widely publicized. More than 50 boards were installed in the city itself.
Large scale donations were made for this satsang. People from many political parties were also in touch with Madhukar and used to fund it. In Sinkararao also, leaders of many parties had attached their recommendation letters with the application for permission to hold the satsang. According to the revelations in the police investigation, political parties have been associated with this to please a large section of people. Investigation agencies have started investigating this as well.
In the preliminary investigation of the investigation agencies, donations were being collected for organizing the satsang for the last one month. A team of more than 30 people was going from village to village and collecting money from the people of their community. More than 70 lakhs of donations were already collected from the people of Hathras area for the event. While there is also a large number of people who were sending money online. It is said that 30 percent of the donation amount is kept by the collectors, while 70 percent of the money is deposited in the trust. No receipt is given for this, rather it is written in the diary.
The main accused is a technical assistant in MNREGA
Madhukar himself is posted as a technical assistant in MNREGA in Etah district. He is also the main sevadaar of Bhole Baba Samiti. Wherever big satsangs are held, it is his responsibility to organize them and collect funds. According to the information received by the police during interrogation, he has appointed members of the satsang committee in many government departments. He has even included officials. The police investigation committee has now started working in this direction as well.
