Mid day break will be implemented from 15th June, workers will be restricted from working from 12.30pm to 3.00pm

Working in the open is prohibited

It is not possible for workers to work in the open during the summer in Gulf countries. Working in the scorching sun can harm their health, so they should take care not to make such a mistake. A statement in this regard has also been issued by UAE officials on Friday.

It has been said in the statement issued that the mid-day break rule will be implemented in UAE.

What is the rule of mid day break?

Actually this rule has been made for outdoor workers who work in direct sunlight. It is not possible to work in direct sunlight during the afternoon in extreme heat, this deteriorates the health of the workers and sometimes there is a risk of death also.

During this period, employees are not allowed to work in the open or in direct sunlight between 12.30pm and 3.00pm. This rule will be applicable from June 15 to September 15.

heavy fine will be imposed

Officials have informed that if any company violates these rules, a fine of Dh5,000 to Dh50,000 can be imposed. During this period, proper drinking water along with shaded areas will also have to be arranged for the employees.
