Madhya Pradesh Budget 2024: Mohan government presented the first budget, emphasis on education, employment goal

Bhopal. Dr. Mohan Yadav government of Madhya Pradesh presented the first budget 2024-25 in the assembly today. While presenting the budget, the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda has given many gifts to MP. Overall, 22 new ITI colleges, three universities and 19 thousand crores have come out of the Mohan government’s coffers for energy. In this time’s budget, MP’s budget has increased by 16 percent. Mohan government has talked about 11,292 crores for the Home Department, 367 crores for the Police Housing Scheme and recruitment on 7500 posts in the Police Department. At the same time, it has been announced to open Ayurveda hospitals in five districts. Also, 22 new ITI colleges will be started in the state. More than 5000 seats will increase. A budget of 50 crores has been given for the Tirtha Darshan Yojana, a budget of 4,725 crores for Forest and Environment, a budget of 586 crores for Sports Youth Welfare Department and a budget of 659 crores for CM Rice School. Apart from this, a separate budget of Rs 250 crore has been allocated for cow shelters. Three new universities will be opened in the state.

A provision of 500 crores has been made for Swachh Bharat Mission. A provision of 300 crores has been made for irrigation schemes. Also, under PM E Bus Yojana, electric buses will run in 6 cities. These include Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Sagar. All the routes coming to Ujjain for Simhastha will be made 4 lanes or 8 lanes. Along with this, provision will be made for 19000 crores for energy, 13596 crores for irrigation, Ken Betwa Link Project and Parvati Chambal Project. To promote millets, Shri Anna Research Center will be opened in Dindori. Also, a provision of 150 crores has been made for milk production bonus. The budget for cows has been increased three times. Along with this, a provision of 250 crores will be made. It is worth mentioning that before the Lok Sabha elections, in the month of February, the BJP government of Madhya Pradesh presented the vote-on-account budget till July. The annual budget was presented by the government on 3 July. As soon as Madhya Pradesh government’s Finance Minister Jagdish Devda stood up to present the budget.

No new tax was imposed

In this budget, no new tax has been imposed on the people of Madhya Pradesh and the target of providing tap water to every home will be achieved and a provision of Rs 520 crore has been made in the budget for cattle rearers. A scheme of Rs 150 crore will be implemented for milk products and more than 46000 posts will be filled in the health sector. Deputy CM Devda said that more than three thousand suggestions were received from the general public for preparing the budget. Most of these were considered. These suggestions have been worked upon in preparing the budget.

  • People are being brought out above the poverty line in MP.
  • A network of roads is being laid in the state.
  • The state has got new strength and new energy.
  • With the aim of eliminating the shortage of railway bridges in the state, 116 railway bridges were built.
  • The railway project is being given more speed.
  • In the coming five years, 900 km long Narmada Progress Path, Atal Progress Path and 550 Vindhya Expressway are proposed.
  • Construction of 1 thousand roads is proposed under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana.
