An Indian citizen has been arrested on charges of smuggling gold at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Customs officials have informed that 1044 grams of gold worth lakhs of rupees has been recovered from the accused.

Let us tell you that the customer officials have informed that the accused had come from Dubai. Gold worth Rs 66 lakh has been recovered from him. The accused has been arrested under the Customs Act, 1962 and investigation has been started. It has been told that the Indian citizen has been arrested along with a person who was present at the airport to receive the gold.

According to security officials, this is not the first case when an accused has been arrested on charges of smuggling gold. Such cases have come to light earlier as well. But the security officers present at the airport immediately identify the accused with the help of new technology and arrest them.
