Flood like situation in UP, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, NDRF deployed,

New Delhi. Monsoon rains are happening all over the country. Flood-like conditions have arisen in UP, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra. 11 people have died in rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours. Flood-like conditions prevail in low-lying areas of Saurashtra in Gujarat. NDRF teams have been deployed for relief and rescue. A strong rain system has become active in MP. 9 inches of rain fell in Sarni of Betul. 11 out of 14 gates of the Satpura dam here have been opened on Sunday morning. Due to heavy rains in Narmadapuram, low-lying settlements have been flooded. The road adjacent to the mountain was closed due to a land slide in Pachmarhi. The wall of a house collapsed at 5 am in Jhalsar village of Makhannagar. A three-year-old girl died due to being buried under the debris.
There are flood-like conditions in Lakhimpur Kheri in UP. The rivers are in spate here. The water reached the highway. Magic was washed away in the flood water. It has been raining heavily in Moradabad since Sunday morning. Many areas of the city were flooded with one to two feet of water. The railway track was submerged. This affected the operation of trains. In Gonda, Ghaghra is flowing 34 centimeters above the danger mark. The villages situated on the river bank are filled with water up to the neck. In Gorakhpur, Rapti is flowing above the danger mark for a week. 55 villages have been submerged. More than 30 thousand people are affected. The administration is constantly appealing to the people in the flood-affected areas to be rescued at higher places.

1.1 inch less rain in the state

Monsoon arrived in the state on 21st June. Since then, there has been a spell of heavy rains. However, there is a drought-like situation in the eastern part. There has been 20 percent less rain here, while the western part has received 2 percent more rain. Overall, there has been a 9 percent less rain so far. According to the Meteorological Department, the average rainfall should have been 12.7 inches till now. In comparison, only 11.6 inches of rain has been recorded.

Water flowing on the highway in Balaghat

It has been raining in Balaghat since Saturday night. Kanjai Nala is overflowing here. Water is flowing on the Seoni State Highway, due to which traffic on both sides has stopped. Due to heavy rain in Narmadapuram since Saturday night, water filled up to the roofs of cars parked in the colonies. The GRP station located near Itarsi railway station was flooded.
