Alhind Group, which is a big name in Indian business and has a good business in UAE, is going to start a new low-cost airline soon. The aim of this airline is to provide air tickets to people at low prices. The company has been working in the travel industry for the last 30 years and now it has got the necessary approval to start a domestic airline in India.

Alhind Group chairman Mohammed Haris told Khaleej Times that they are busy with the final preparations to start the airline. He said, “Last week we had a meeting with the Cochin International Airport officials and submitted all the papers for landing permission. We have already received the NOC to start the airline. We are hoping to start flights by January 2025.”

First domestic flights, then foreign flights
Alhind Airline will initially operate flights between different cities in India with three ATR-72 turboprop aircraft. A spokesperson for the company said that once they have 20 flights, they will start flying internationally and their first international destination will be the UAE. He said, “We will try to keep our ticket prices as low as possible so that the expatriates here can take advantage of it. Our focus will be especially on the Middle East countries.”

Big work at low cost
The company said that they will keep only the necessary staff to keep their expenses low. Alhind Group is headquartered in Kerala and they have been working in UAE for the last 19 years. The company will use Airbus A320 aircraft for international routes, which will also have business class.
