SIMI’s last president, doctor and writer Dr. Shahid Badr Falahi passed away


Dr. Shahid Badr Falahi, a renowned scholar of religion, Unani doctor, social worker and the last president of the banned organization SIMI, passed away on Saturday afternoon after a prolonged illness. His last rites will be performed at his ancestral village Manchobha at 10.30 pm.
It is worth mentioning that in the year 2001, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee government had banned the Student Islamic Organization of India (SIMI). Then Dr. Shahid Badr Falahi was the national president of SIMI. After which he remained in jail for a long time. After a long legal battle, the court acquitted him. After which he was working in the field of health and education in the poor areas of Azamgarh.

Dr. Shahid Brod Falahi was also a well-known Islamic writer, he wrote many books which became very popular in the country.
It is said that Dr. Shahid was ill for some time. His condition worsened on Friday. He breathed his last on Saturday afternoon. He will be buried in his native village Minchobha at 10.30 pm tonight.

Dr. Shahid Badr Falahi obtained his Alimiyat degree from Jamiatul Falah. After which he received his Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) from Aligarh University.
