Dr. Raisuddin became the new national president of Welfare Party, Dr. Ilyas left after 10 years

The Federal General Council of the Welfare Party of India recently elected Dr. Raisuddin Baidia, an important political and social figure of West Bengal, as the national president of the party in a meeting held in Nagpur (Maharashtra). In the meeting, Dr. Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, who has been the party president for 10 years, was also thanked for his service.

It is worth mentioning that soon after the formation of the party, Dr. Raisuddin Saheb was elected as the first state president of Welfare Party West Bengal and he remained in this position for four years. Meanwhile, the above mentioned person also contested the by-election from Jangipur Lok Sabha in 2012 and secured 42000 votes.

Dr. Raisuddin has also been a member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board from Bengal.

In his address, former party president Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas thanked his colleagues for supporting him on every platform. He said that the services of all of you have played an extraordinary role in what the party has achieved. Dr. Ilyas further said that in the era we are living in, politics has become corrupt. Four characteristics are very prominent in the politicians of our time. Communalism, corruption, criminalization and opportunism are common in the party. We are lighting the lamp of politics based on values ​​in this darkness. Welfare Party of India will have to live up to the expectations of the people.

In his concluding speech, the newly elected National President Dr. Raisuddin thanked the participants for trusting him. He further said that in this era, people enter politics to gain wealth and fame.
