Jabalpur: Action taken against principal managers of schools like Christ Church and Aloysius, some arrested, some escaped

For the first time in the history of Jabalpur, honest action has been taken against the game of making parents poor by setting up a market for education and luring children with a better future.
FIRs have been registered under non-bailable sections against the directors, managers, principals etc. of dozens of schools, from East Church School to Aloysius and Stemfield, Gyan Ganga International. 80 prominent people have been made named accused, out of which 20 have been arrested. The rest have absconded and the police is searching for them.
After this action which started at 5 AM on Monday, there was a state of panic in all the small and big schools of the district.

Collector Deepak Saxena said that those against whom action has been taken have been proven guilty of increasing fees against the rules, selling expensive books by embezzling commission and extorting money from relatives in different ways. The district administration has made it clear that without returning every single penny collected illegally, they will not be able to escape action.
In this case, FIR has been filed against 11 private schools. 20 accused have been arrested. More than 60 people are being searched.
District Collector Deepak Saxena and Superintendent of Police Aditya Pratap Singh told this while talking to journalists in a formal discussion in the Collectorate auditorium That The arbitrary fees increased by the schools were fixed back by the district committee. Criminal cases were registered against 11 schools. The owners of 11 schools in 9 police station areas of the city and book sellers are also included in this. The collector said that about 240 crore rupees have been collected since 2018. Crimes have been registered against these schools under sections 420, 409, 468, 471 and 120B.

It is worth mentioning that Jabalpur Collector Deepak Kumar Saxena said that a campaign was launched against private schools in the past under which complaints were invited from the general public against private schools. The general public had complained to the district administration about collusion in the matter of fees, books and uniforms. There are about 250 complaints received by the district administration from the general public, in which an investigation was started against 75 schools of Jabalpur.

Superintendent of Police Aditya Pratap Singh said that these schools were accused of increasing the school fees in an illegal manner. In Madhya Pradesh, an act was passed in 2017 for the operation of private schools. Under this, no school can increase the fees by more than 10 percent without increasing the facilities, while on the other hand, increasing the fees more than this requires the permission of the district administration. The district administration investigated this matter and these schools of Jabalpur increased their fees without any rules. Jabalpur district administration, with the help of the crime branch, has registered a case against these schools of Jabalpur under section 420 for fraud and section 471 for violating the law of ISBN number.

It is worth noting that for the last one and a half months, the Collector has taken a tough stand and is taking action against private schools for charging hefty fees including books, copies and uniforms. For which the Collector has formed a proper investigation committee and has heard the views of school operators, parents and even children in the open in front of everyone. The collusion and arbitrariness of book sellers and school operators was proved. Due to this, on the instructions of the Collector, cases have been registered against the school operators under the guidance of SP Aditya Pratap Singh. This has created panic among the private school operators of the city.
