Under this initiative, eligible newlywed couples can get an interest-free loan of up to 150,000 dirhams (approximately Rs 34.17 lakh).

Who can take this loan?

This loan is open to Emirati citizens who:

• He is employed and a holder of Abu Dhabi Family Book.
• At the time of marriage, the age of the husband should be at least 21 years and the age of the wife should be at least 18 years.
• The husband must have a family book issued in Abu Dhabi.
• The application should be made by the husband.
• The husband’s monthly income should be less than 60,000 dirhams.
• Registration must be done on the Medeem digital platform.

What to do to get a loan?

SSA will start accepting applications from the beginning of September 2024. The process to apply for the loan and the information on the required documents will be announced by SSA soon.

The initiative is part of the Abu Dhabi Family Wellbeing Strategy and the Emirati Family Growth Programme. It aims to encourage young people to get married and build strong families.
