Mau. Mukhtar Ansari’s wife Afshan Ansari has been absconding for a long time. Several cases of Gangster Act are registered against her in Dakshintola police station of Mau district. Meanwhile, the DIG has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 each on Afshan and 5 other accused. This information was given by DIG Azamgarh Range Vaibhav Krishna.
According to DIG Azamgarh Range Vaibhav Krishna, a firm named Vikas Construction was formed near Raini village in Dakshin Tola police station area of Mau and land was acquired and a warehouse was constructed on it. That warehouse was rented out to FCI by the firm. This firm was registered in the name of five people. These included Mukhtar Ansari’s wife Afshan Ansari, his two brothers-in-law Anwar Shahzad and Atif Raza, as well as Ravindra Narayan Singh and Zakir Hussain alias Vicky.
In the investigation of the Revenue Department, it was found that Vikas Construction firm has wrongly got the land leased to the people of Scheduled Caste registered in its name. Apart from this, the land of some other people has also been taken by these people in a wrong manner. The then Tehsildar PC Srivastava found in the investigation that this firm had wrongly got the land leased to the people of Scheduled Caste registered in the name of the firm.
