Jabalpur’s ‘Awami Falah Model’ is discussed all over the country: It has become an example in the field of community health care

In this era of becoming a messiah by distributing paracetamol and vitamin tablets in health camps, it is difficult to believe that there is an organization in Jabalpur which has been providing free and excellent treatment to the poor and weak people of Jabalpur for the last 12 years and 10 months without stopping, without getting tired, without retreating, without getting any accolades and without being seen in the media.

From seasonal diseases to heart, kidney and bone diseases, from total free treatment to help in major operations. Falah is working from giving free medicines to providing equipment like wheel chairs and medical beds. Falah is even arranging buses and ambulances to transport patients to big hospitals and Nagpur.

This campaign which started with a health camp has today become the biggest health mission in the history of Muslims of Madhya Pradesh. Few people know that on the lines of the health model of Awami Falah Society, health missions were started in many cities of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh and were successful.

Today, due to 12 years of tireless hard work, sacrifice, management and sincerity, Awami Falah Society of Jabalpur has made a distinct place for itself in the Muslim community of entire India.

This society and its way of service has shown and taught us how to come forward without any concern for resources and create a model which can serve millions of people for years.

Today Awami Falah Society is providing free allopathic, Unani and homeopathic treatment through its Falah Pali Clinic. At the same time, services like pathology, sonography, X-ray are being provided to the poor at 60 to 90 percent less rate. And those patients who cannot afford even that, are not charged for it. Apart from this, Awami Falah Society runs a medical equipment center. Where about 2 dozen medical equipment including wheel chairs, patient beds, oxygen cylinders are provided free of cost to the people of Muslim dominated areas.

The services of Falah Society do not stop here, Falah Society also runs free buses and ambulances. Through which arrangements are made to transport the patients from Medical Hospital, Sukhsagar Hospital to Nagpur, Mumbai, Bhopal. Awami Falah Society, which is moving forward on the mission of setting up its own charitable hospital of Jabalpur Muslim society, is an example in itself today. It is not possible to sum up its services in words.
