Children were sent to jail just because of their caps, Minority Commission found the complaint to be true

Madrassa children were caught just by looking at their caps. They showed their tickets, identity cards and all the necessary documents. But even after that they were sent to juvenile correction home. The children were kept there for several days and were mentally tortured and forced to work. The principal of the madrasa demanded action from the Minority Commission in the entire incident. After investigation, the commission found the RPF officer guilty and ordered the railways to take action.

The Minority Commission in Kanpur, UP has recommended action against RPF jawans in the case of Islamophobia and hatred and fanaticism against Muslims. Actually, RPF jawans have been found guilty of discriminating against madrasa students on the basis of dress. The Minority Commission has ordered action against all the guilty RPF jawans.

After hearing the case, the State Minority Commission has considered it discriminatory. Actually, on 24 April, all the madrasa students were returning to Kanpur after the Eid holidays. It is alleged that the RPF took action against the children after seeing them in caps and pyjamas, even though the children had all the documents, yet they were sent to the reform home for seven days.

The Minority Commission has recommended punitive action against the guilty officers and employees. The Minority Commission has directed the Senior Divisional Security Commissioner of Railway Protection Force, North Central Railway to submit a report after taking action.

The principal of Ghatampur Madrasa Islamia had alleged that 14 students of the madrasa were stopped at Kanpur Central by Railway Protection Force sub-inspector Amit Dwivedi and other railway officials. Meanwhile, the children showed all their documents and they also had tickets. Even after this, the children were sent to the juvenile home. Apart from this, the children were kept hungry and thirsty from noon to eleven o’clock that day.

After this, the principal filed a complaint with the Uttar Pradesh Minority Commission. In this, he said that despite all the students having valid tickets, identity cards and necessary documents, the RPF took action against them.

The commission heard the case on May 28. After which this decision has been given. On May 15, Sub-Inspector Amit Dwivedi appeared on behalf of the Railway Protection Force, but could not present anything concrete in his favor.

The students said that they were caught without any fault, they were first told that they would be released if their parents came, but even after the parents came, they were not released. The children also alleged that they were not given proper food and were treated cruelly. They were made to clean utensils in the reform home.
